2013 BATTAGLINI PETIT SYRAH OLD VINES, RUSSIAN RIVER VALLEY CALIFORNIA

Started in 2011, Migration began as an effort by Duckhorn in search of the perfect terroir for growth and nurturing of Pinot Noir. The exploration set about production of Migration Chardonnay and Pinot Noir in small-lot volume, under meticulous care and supervision. Over the years, the brand has also gone beyond its boundaries, working with other renowned vineyards in crafting innovative, distinctive vintages, upholding its iconic Duckhorn roots.

The Russian River Valley Pinot Noir features cherry and red berry notes leap from the glass, followed by complex aromas of rich earth, rose petal and baking spices. On
the palate, this wine displays impressive volume, with abundant cherry pie and strawberry flavors, and a note of spiced orange peel, all framed by just a touch ofsweet and toasty new French oak.
